My name is Zoltan Schmidt, I was born in July 1956.
Finishing Electric high school, between 1973 and 1980, I started working at a big company at Miskolc (Lenin Kohászati Művek).
In 1972 I passed test for ’’operator,’’ in 1973 for ’’class A,’’ in 1978 for ’’class B’’ licence. I gained my full amateur radio licence in 1978.
I got married in 1975, I have four children and one of them is also a radio amateur (HA9MS).
In 1980, I have been required to become a solider, during this time I have worked as a telegraphist. After that, I became a sound technician at the Miskolc Cultural Center.
Currently, I am retired and I often dedicate hours of my daily life to QSO and taking part in amateur competitions too.
It is a great honour to be invited to the CW Operators’ Club.
