My primary interest in Ham Radio is Emergency Communications. I’m active in ARES. I’m very active in NTS. I enjoy traffic handling.
I’m an Extra Class License holder and have many interests in Ham Radio. I’m a rag chewer from way back. I was first licensed in 1979 and like many Hams at that time, I just learned CW well enough to get my General License. Now, after many years, it is my preferred mode of communication.
I’m retired from Information Technology. I ran my own IT Consulting firm and I’ve written several books on computer programming. I was an Assistant Editor for the old Compute! Magazine.
I retired from the USAF, Air National Guard, after 26 years as a Master Sargent. I was Ground Radio Supervisor for a series of Combat Communications Squadrons and deployed all over the world.
I’m a resident of Wyalusing, in Bradford County, Pennsylvania having retired and moved here in 2001. When I’m not in my Ham Shack, I raise and train German Shepherd Dogs.
