I have been a radio amateur since 1974.
As a soldier, I learned the Morse code and immediately after the end of my military service, I joined the Radio Club in the small BiH town of Teslić.
The following year I had my first personal call YU4VWQ, for which I won my first DXCC diploma (# 24144). I made connections with modest equipment as I do now.
I dominantly maintain CW connections and only sometimes SSB.
During the war in the former Yugoslavia, I had to leave my home and, of course, my amateur radio equipment. I did not own the equipment from 1991 to 2008 when I resumed activity. My preoccupations are contests and DXCC links.
Membership in CWOps, at the suggestion of AA3B – Bud, I see as an honor and I will strive to be a solid member.
This biography is what appeared in Solid Copy when the member joined CWops.
