Born in 1958, I had my first contact with CW from 1977 to 1980 in the army, where I was trained as a telegraph operator.
After that there was a long break, my hobby was equestrian sports (dressage and military). Much later, in 2011, I acquired my amateur radio license, first as a beginner with the callsign DO9HSK, then in May 2013 the “big” license with the callsign DM3ZM.
I am based in the east of Germany, in the Spreewald region.
I mainly work in CW, with paddle or straight key. The station consists of a YAESU FTDX-3000 and an Aerial51 Mod. 807 HD antenna.
My special interest is contesting, diplomas and special call signs. My special thanks to my nominator Uwe, DK3WW, and my sponsors Manos, SV1ME; Rien, PA7RA and Fabian, DJ5CW.
