My name is Mitsuru Soma, born in 1962. My JA call sign is JF1UOW, and in the US, KQ1J. I acquired my first Japanese amateur radio license in 2008 and upgraded to FCC Extra in 2009. Since 2008, my primary focus has been DXCC hunting, and my current DXCC entity count is 325. My preferred modes are CW, RTTY, and SSB. My wife (JF1UOX) is also a member of CWops＃3011), and together we find joy in amateur radio as a couple.
I am the CEO of a trading company. My other hobbies are circuit driving, building custom PCs, and home gardening.
Being welcomed as a member of this historic club has further fuelled my motivation to enhance my CW skills.
